# STEP 3 - Query a common

Once you have access to a common. You are able to use the SQL Editor located in the main (dashboard) page. To run an SQL command you will first have to set an access key.

In this section, we'll show you how to use the SQL editor.

Open the main drawer by clicking the Top-left Hamburger Icon then click on the option "Dashboard".

Once on the dashboard page, write the SQL command and set the access key ([how to get the access key?](/guides-for-data-consumers/step-2-renew-access-key.md))

If the query is successful, the results will appear in the section Query results.

Additionally, you will see a new entry in the Query history section.
